- 1 kg beef shank
- 2 liters water
- 2 medium potatoes
- 1 medium carrot
- 1 medium onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 bunch fresh parsley

In a large pot, add the beef shank and water. Bring to a boil over high heat.

Once boiling, reduce the heat and skim off any foam that forms on the surface.

Add the chopped onion, grated carrot, and minced garlic to the pot. Season with salt and black pepper.

Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes until the beef is tender.

Add the diced potatoes to the pot and continue to cook for an additional 15 minutes.

Once the potatoes are cooked, remove the beef shank and shred the meat. Return the shredded beef back to the pot.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
