Savor the warmth of this delightful Williamine, a Belgian-inspired spiced pear wine that combines sweet pear juice, white wine, and aromatic spices. Perfect for cozy gatherings or festive celebrations, it's a comforting sip for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 liters water
  • 500 grams sugar
  • 1 liter pear juice
  • 1 liter white wine
  • 1 cup fresh pears, diced
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

  1. 1

In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil.

  2. 2

Add 500 grams of sugar to the boiling water and stir until completely dissolved.

  3. 3

Once the sugar is dissolved, add 1 liter of pear juice and 1 liter of white wine to the pot.

  4. 4

Introduce the cinnamon stick, cloves, and vanilla extract into the mixture.

  5. 5

Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 30 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  6. 6

Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes before straining the mixture to remove spices.

  7. 7

Serve warm in cups and garnish each serving with diced fresh pears.

  8. 8

Enjoy your homemade Williamine, a festive treat perfect for celebrations!
