Savor the warmth of Uzvar, a traditional Eastern European drink made with dried fruits, honey, and a hint of cinnamon. Perfect for cozy evenings or festive gatherings, this sweet beverage is a delightful way to celebrate the season.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams dried fruits (apples, pears, plums)
  • 2 liters water
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons raisin
  • optional fresh mint leaves

Method

    In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.

    Add the dried fruits to the boiling water and simmer for about 20 minutes.

    Stir in the honey, cinnamon stick, and lemon juice, and continue to simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

    Remove from heat and let the Uzvar steep for a few minutes to enhance the flavors.
