Indulge in the rich, creamy delight of Tres Leches, a classic Latin American dessert soaked in three types of milk. Perfect for celebrations or a sweet treat after dinner, this cake will leave everyone craving more.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Method

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking dish.

  2. 2

In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder. Set aside.

  3. 3

In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy. Gradually mix in the milk.

  4. 4

Fold the flour mixture into the egg mixture until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.

  5. 5

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool completely.

  6. 6

In a separate bowl, mix together the evaporated milk and sweetened condensed milk. Poke holes in the cooled cake and pour the milk mixture over it.

  7. 7

Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form and spread it over the soaked cake. Chill before serving.

  8. 8

Serve cold and enjoy your Tres Leches!
