- 500 grams chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and sesame oil. Stir until sugar is dissolved.

Cut chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces and add them to the marinade. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

In a skillet over medium heat, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the marinated chicken (including the marinade) to the skillet. Cook for about 7-10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.

In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to create a slurry.

Pour the cornstarch slurry into the skillet and stir well. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens.
