Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup sweet red bean paste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Method

  1. 1

In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, and baking powder. Mix well.

  2. 2

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and beaten egg until well combined.

  3. 3

Gradually pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined. Do not overmix.

  4. 4

Preheat a taiyaki pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with vegetable oil.

  5. 5

Pour a small amount of batter into each side of the taiyaki pan, add a spoonful of sweet red bean paste in the center, and then cover it with more batter.

  6. 6

Close the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.

  7. 7

Remove taiyaki from the pan and let cool slightly before serving.

  8. 8

Serve warm and enjoy your delicious taiyaki!
