- 1 cup fava beans
- 1 cup fresh parsley
- 1 cup fresh cilantro
- 1 small onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

Method

Drain and rinse the soaked fava beans and place them in a food processor.

Add the parsley, cilantro, onion, garlic, cumin, baking powder, salt, and black pepper to the food processor.

Blend the mixture until it reaches a smooth, thick paste. You may need to scrape down the sides of the processor occasionally.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.

Using a spoon or your hands, shape the fava bean mixture into small patties.
