- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion
- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 medium tomatoes
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 sprigs cilantro

Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
