Savor the vibrant flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine with this tender chicken shawarma, marinated in aromatic spices and served in warm pita with fresh veggies and creamy tahini. Perfect for a weeknight dinner that transports you to a bustling market.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams boneless chicken thighs
  • 3 tablespoons shawarma spice mix
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 large pita breads
  • 1 cup vegetables
  • 1 cup tahini sauce

Method

    In a large bowl, combine the chicken thighs, shawarma spice mix, and olive oil. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly. Let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.

    While the chicken is marinating, slice the onion and prepare your vegetables for garnish.

    Heat a grill pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and browned.
