- 200 g digestive biscuits
- 100 g butter
- 600 g cottage cheese
- 150 g sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).

Crush the digestive biscuits into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter until well combined.

Press the biscuit mixture into the base of a springform pan to form a crust. Bake for about 10 minutes and set aside to cool.

In a large bowl, mix the cottage cheese, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and cornstarch until smooth and well blended.

Pour the cheese mixture over the cooled crust and smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake in the preheated oven for 50-60 minutes until set and slightly golden on top.

Turn off the oven and let the sernik cool inside with the door slightly open for about 1 hour.

Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving. Enjoy your homemade sernik!
