- 250 grams rechta noodles
- 400 grams chicken
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 large onion
- 3 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion until translucent.

Add the chicken pieces to the pot and cook until browned on all sides.

Pour in the water and add salt, black pepper, and cinnamon. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through.

While the chicken is cooking, prepare the rechta noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Once the chicken is cooked, remove it from the pot and shred the meat, discarding the bones.

Add the rechta noodles to the chicken broth and stir for a couple of minutes until heated through.
