Ingredients

  • 3 liters fermented fruit (plums or pears)
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 1 packet yeast
  • 1 liter water
  • 1 bottle distillation unit

Method

    Wash the fermented fruit thoroughly and remove any stems or leaves.

    In a large container, mash the fruit to release the juices.

    In a separate pot, dissolve the sugar in water over low heat, then let it cool.

    Combine the mashed fruit and sugar water in the container, adding yeast if using.

    Cover the container with a cloth and let it ferment for about 2 weeks, stirring daily.

    Once fermentation is complete, transfer the mixture into a distillation unit and distill to obtain Rachiu.
