IngredientsWhat you need
- 500 grams potatoes
- 200 grams flour
- 1 large egg
- 300 grams ground meat
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon onion
- 2 tablespoons butter
- to taste pepper
Method
- 1
Boil the peeled and grated potatoes in salted water until tender, about 10 minutes. Drain and let cool slightly.
- 2
In a mixing bowl, combine the boiled potatoes, flour, egg, and salt. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3
In a separate pan, sauté the finely chopped onion in a bit of butter until translucent. Add the ground meat, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Let it cool.
- 4
Take a portion of the potato dough and flatten it in your hand. Place a spoonful of the meat mixture in the center and fold the dough over to seal it, shaping it into a ball.
- 5
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Gently drop the pyzy into the boiling water, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Cook for about 5-7 minutes until they float to the surface.
- 6
Remove the pyzy with a slotted spoon and place them on a serving plate.
- 7
In a skillet, melt the remaining butter and sauté the cooked pyzy until golden brown on all sides.
- 8
Serve warm, optionally with sour cream or your favorite sauce.
