Indulge in the creamy sweetness of Pudim, a Brazilian flan made with rich condensed milk and a hint of vanilla. This delightful dessert is perfect for family gatherings or a cozy weeknight treat.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups milk
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
- 1
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- 2
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the sugar until it turns golden brown, stirring constantly to make a caramel. Quickly pour the caramel into a round mold, swirling to coat the bottom evenly.
- 3
In a blender, combine the sweetened condensed milk, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth and well combined.
- 4
Pour the mixture into the prepared caramel-coated mold.
- 5
Place the mold in a larger baking dish and fill the larger dish with hot water halfway up the sides of the mold, creating a water bath.
- 6
Bake in the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- 7
Let the pudim cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- 8
To serve, run a knife around the edges of the mold and invert it onto a plate. Enjoy your delicious pudim!
