Warm up your mornings with a comforting bowl of sorghum porridge, sweetened with a hint of sugar and enriched with creamy milk and crunchy nuts. Ideal for a cozy breakfast or a nourishing snack any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sorghum flour
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon ground nuts

Method

    In a large pot, bring the water to a boil over medium-high heat.

    In a separate bowl, mix the sorghum flour with a little bit of cold water to form a smooth paste.

    Once the water is boiling, reduce the heat and gradually add the flour paste to the pot while stirring continuously to prevent lumps.

    Continue stirring and cooking for about 15-20 minutes until the porridge thickens to your desired consistency.

    Add salt and sugar (if using) and stir well to combine.
