Savor the warmth of this fragrant Polao, a delightful blend of tender chicken, aromatic basmati rice, and rich spices. Perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or a festive gathering with loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Basmati rice
  • 453.6 g Chicken
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon Biryani masala
  • 3 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil

Method

    Heat the cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat and fry the sliced onions until golden brown. Remove half for garnishing later.

    Add the ginger-garlic paste to the remaining onions in the pot and sauté until fragrant.

    Add the chicken pieces to the pot and cook until they are no longer pink, stirring occasionally.

    Stir in the yogurt and biryani masala, mixing well. Cook for 5 minutes to let the flavors meld.

    Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pot along with the water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover.

    Cook for about 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed. Remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes.
