Ingredients

  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 large eggs
  • 5 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • oil as needed vegetable oil

Method

    Grate the peeled potatoes into a large bowl and squeeze out excess moisture using a clean cloth or paper towel.

    Add the finely chopped onion, beaten eggs, flour, salt, and black pepper to the grated potatoes. Mix well until combined.

    Heat a generous amount of vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.

    Using a spoon, drop dollops of the potato mixture into the hot oil, flattening them slightly to form pancakes.

    Fry the pancakes for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

    Once cooked, transfer the pancakes to a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess oil.
