Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 1 egg
• 1/2 cup peanut butter
• 1 cup oatmeal
• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 tsp soda
• 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
• 1/2 tsp vanilla
• 1/4 tsp salt

Method

   Mix in order given.

   Coconut, chocolate chips, or butterscotch chips may be added if desired.

   Form dough into balls and place on greased cookie sheet.

   Press slightly with fork.

   Bake at 350°F.
