- 4 pieces paya (trotters)
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 1 cup onions
- 2 tablespoons ghee
- 2 teaspoons red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 4 cups water
- to taste as needed salt
- 1 bunch fresh coriander leaves
Method

Heat ghee in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another 2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the cleaned paya, red chili powder, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.

Pour in the water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and cover. Let simmer for about 4 hours until paya is tender.

Once cooked, sprinkle garam masala and stir gently.

Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.

Serve hot with naan or rice.
