Indulge in the comforting flavors of Palt, a traditional Swedish potato dumpling filled with savory pork belly. This hearty dish is perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or a festive gathering with loved ones.

Ingredients

  • 500 g potatoes
  • 200 g wheat flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 150 g pork belly
  • 2 cups water
  • 50 g butter

Method

    Grate the peeled potatoes into a large bowl.

    Mix in the wheat flour and salt until you have a dough-like consistency.

    Take small portions of the dough and flatten them in your hand.

    Place a small piece of diced pork belly in the center of each portion and fold the dough over to seal it, forming a ball.

    Bring a pot of water to a boil and carefully drop the palt balls into the boiling water.
