Ingredients

  • 2 kg fermented fruit (plums, apples, or pears)
  • 1 liter water
  • 1 kg sugar
  • 1 package yeast
  • 1 barrel distillation equipment
  • to taste oak chips

Method

    Collect fully ripe and fermented fruit, preferably plums, apples, or pears.

    Wash the fermented fruit and place it in a large fermentation vessel.

    Add water to the vessel to cover the fruits completely.

    If desired, add sugar and yeast to the mixture to enhance fermentation.

    Cover the vessel and let it ferment for about 2-3 weeks, stirring occasionally.

    After fermentation, distill the liquid using distillation equipment to extract the Palincă.
