- 1 kg lamb or chicken
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 1 large onion
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons ouzi spice mix
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup mixed nuts

In a large bowl, combine the lamb or chicken with olive oil, minced garlic, chopped onion, and ouzi spice mix. Marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight.

In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add the soaked basmati rice and a pinch of salt. Cook until the rice is tender, about 15 minutes, then drain.

While the rice is cooking, grill the marinated lamb or chicken over medium heat until well-cooked and slightly charred, about 30-40 minutes, turning occasionally.

Once the meat is cooked, let it rest for a few minutes, then chop it into bite-sized pieces.
