Indulge in the rich, layered delight of Medovik, a traditional Russian honey cake that combines sweet honey, creamy sour cream, and a hint of vanilla. Perfect for special occasions or a cozy dessert after dinner.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Method

    Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).

    In a mixing bowl, combine honey, sugar, and eggs. Whisk until well blended.

    Add sour cream, baking soda, and vanilla extract to the mixture and stir until smooth.
