Savor the delightful flavors of Korean Mandu, filled with savory ground pork and fresh green onions, all wrapped in tender dough. Perfect for a cozy weeknight dinner or a festive gathering with friends and family.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup ground pork
- 1 cup chopped green onions
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Method
- 1
In a bowl, combine flour with a pinch of salt and enough water to form a smooth dough. Knead for about 5-10 minutes until elastic.
- 2
Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- 3
In another bowl, mix the ground pork, chopped green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.
- 4
Divide the rested dough into small balls, then roll each ball into a thin circle on a floured surface.
- 5
Place a spoonful of the filling in the center of each circle, fold the dough over to create a half-moon shape, and pinch the edges to seal.
- 6
In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Add the mandu and fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- 7
Add a splash of water to the skillet, cover, and steam for another 5 minutes or until cooked through.
- 8
Serve hot with dipping sauce, such as soy sauce mixed with vinegar and chili flakes.
