- 1 kg lamb shoulder or leg
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 2 cups yogurt
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1 large onion
- 1 cup water

Method

In a large bowl, combine the lamb with olive oil, cumin, coriander, paprika, minced garlic, salt, and pepper. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

In a large pot, heat a bit of olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.

Add the marinated lamb to the pot and brown on all sides.

Pour in the water, bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for about 45 minutes or until the lamb is tender.
