- 500 grams chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 tablespoons ghee or vegetable oil
- 2 medium onions, finely sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 cup yogurt
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- Salt to taste salt
- 1/2 cup water

Heat ghee or oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.

Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, stirring them for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Stir in the chicken pieces, cooking until they are browned on all sides.

In a bowl, mix yogurt, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Add this mixture to the chicken, stirring well to coat.
