Savor the rich flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine with these tender kofta kebabs, infused with aromatic spices and fresh herbs. Ideal for a weeknight dinner or a festive gathering, serve them with warm pita and a refreshing yogurt sauce.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 453.6 g ground lamb
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Method
- 1
In a large bowl, combine ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, chili powder, and salt.
- 2
Mix the ingredients thoroughly until well combined. You can use your hands for better mixing.
- 3
Cover the mixture and let it marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes to enhance the flavors.
- 4
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat and lightly oil the grill grates.
- 5
Shape the meat mixture into oval or cylindrical patties (koftas) about 1 inch thick.
- 6
Grill the kofta kebabs for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked through and nicely browned.
- 7
Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
- 8
Serve hot with naan, yogurt sauce, and salad on the side.
