Savor the rich flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine with these tender kofta, made from spiced ground beef and fresh herbs. Perfect for a weeknight dinner or a cozy gathering, served with warm pita and tangy tomato sauce.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground beef
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 cup fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup tomato sauce

Method

  1. 1

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are fully incorporated.

  2. 2

Shape the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball, and set aside.

  3. 3

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the kofta balls to the skillet, cooking until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.

  4. 4

Once browned, pour the tomato sauce over the kofta in the skillet. Cover and simmer for about 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

  5. 5

Serve hot, garnished with additional fresh parsley if desired. Enjoy with bread or rice.
