Indulge in the sweet, chewy delight of Klepon, a traditional Indonesian treat made with glutinous rice flour and filled with rich brown sugar, then rolled in fresh grated coconut. Perfect for festive occasions or a delightful snack!

  • 200 grams glutinous rice flour
  • 150 ml pandan juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 100 grams brown sugar
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • water as needed water

Method

  1. 1

In a mixing bowl, combine glutinous rice flour, pandan juice, and salt. Mix until you achieve a smooth dough.

  4. 4

Remove the cooked klepon from the boiling water using a slotted spoon and drain them well.

  5. 5

While they are still warm, roll the klepon in the grated coconut until they are fully coated.

  6. 6

Allow them to cool slightly before serving. Enjoy your klepon as a sweet treat!
