Indulge in the warm, comforting aroma of Kanelbulle, a Swedish cinnamon bun that's perfect for cozy mornings or festive gatherings. With a sweet, spiced filling and a soft, fluffy dough, it's a delightful treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 500 g all-purpose flour
  • 75 g granulated sugar
  • 25 g active dry yeast
  • 250 ml milk
  • 75 g unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 100 g brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp water

Method

    In a small bowl, combine the warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

    In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and melted butter. Mix well.

    Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture and knead until a soft dough forms, about 10 minutes.

    Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

    Once risen, roll out the dough on a floured surface into a rectangle. Sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon, and roll up tightly.
