Savor the rich flavors of Middle Eastern cuisine with these succulent lamb kebabs, seasoned with cumin and coriander, served alongside warm pita and creamy yogurt. Ideal for a cozy weeknight dinner or a festive gathering.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 500 grams ground lamb
- 2 teaspoons cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 8 pieces pita bread
- 1 cup yogurt
Method
- 1
In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- 2
Shape the meat mixture into small patties or skewers, depending on your preference.
- 3
Preheat a grill or frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the kebabs and cook for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they are well browned and cooked through.
- 4
While the kebabs are cooking, warm the pita bread on the grill or in a separate pan for a minute or two until soft.
- 5
Once the kebabs are done, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- 6
Serve the kebabs wrapped in the warm pita bread with a side of yogurt for dipping.
- 7
Enjoy your Jebab with fresh vegetables or salad for a complete meal.
