- 200 grams lamb
- 1 cup chickpeas
- 1 cup lentils
- 1 medium onion
- 2 stalks celery
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 liter water
- spices cinnamon, cumin, turmeric, salt, and pepper
- 1 bunch fresh cilantro
Method

In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onion and celery until softened.

Add the lamb pieces to the pot and brown them on all sides.

Stir in the tomato paste, chickpeas, lentils, and spices (cinnamon, cumin, turmeric, salt, and pepper).

Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce heat and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until the lentils and chickpeas are tender.

Adjust seasoning as needed and let the harira simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
