Ingredients

  • 200 grams small shrimp
  • 50 grams butter
  • 50 grams all-purpose flour
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs

    In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

    Add the flour and stir continuously for about 2 minutes to make a roux.

    Gradually add the milk, whisking to avoid lumps, and cook until thickened.

    Incorporate the shrimp, nutmeg, salt, and pepper, stirring well. Remove from heat and let the mixture cool.

    Once cooled, shape the mixture into small croquettes.

    Dip each croquette into the beaten eggs, then roll in breadcrumbs to coat.
