Savor the rich, earthy flavors of Ful Medames, a traditional Egyptian dish made with fava beans, garlic, and a splash of lemon. Perfect for a hearty breakfast or a comforting weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried fava beans
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • Salt to taste salt
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley

Method

    Rinse the soaked fava beans under cold water.

    In a large pot, combine the rinsed fava beans and water, and bring to a boil over medium heat.
