IngredientsWhat you need
- 500 g all-purpose flour
- 10 g instant yeast
- 300 ml warm water
- 50 ml olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups onions
- 1 tablespoon oregano
- 1 cup grated cheese
Method
- 1
In a bowl, mix the flour, yeast, and salt together.
- 2
Gradually add the warm water and 25 ml of olive oil, mixing until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
- 4
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 5
While the dough rises, sauté the onions in the remaining olive oil until they are soft and slightly caramelized. Stir in oregano and set aside.
- 6
Preheat your oven to 220°C (428°F).
- 7
Once the dough has risen, press it into a greased baking tray, spreading it evenly.
- 8
Top the dough with sautéed onions and sprinkle with cheese if desired. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
