- 1 kg chicken thighs
- 2 cups pomegranate molasses
- 1 cup ground walnuts
- 2 medium onions
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

In a large pot, heat some oil over medium heat and sauté the chopped onions until they are golden brown.

Add turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper to the onions, stirring for 1-2 minutes.

Add the chicken thighs to the pot, browning them on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.

Pour in the water and bring to a simmer. Cover the pot and let it cook for 30 minutes.

Stir in the ground walnuts and pomegranate molasses, mixing well. Continue to cook for another 60 minutes, stirring occasionally.
