Experience the heart of Brazilian cuisine with Feijão Tropeiro, a hearty mix of black beans, crispy bacon, and nutty manioc flour. Ideal for a cozy weeknight dinner or a festive gathering with friends.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 1 cup dried black beans
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 medium onion
- 2 cloves garlic
- 200 grams bacon
- 1 cup manioc flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
Method
- 1
Rinse the soaked black beans and cook them in boiling water for about 20-25 minutes, or until tender. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced bacon and cook until crispy.

- 5
Remove from heat and let it sit for a few minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 6
Serve warm, optionally garnished with finely chopped parsley or green onions.
