Experience the refreshing taste of Faloodeh, a Persian dessert made with silky rice flour noodles, fragrant rose water, and zesty lime. Enjoy this delightful treat on warm evenings or as a sweet ending to any meal.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 100 grams rice flour
- 4 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons rose water
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 cup crushed ice
- 1 tablespoon pistachios
Method
- 1
In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
- 2
Slowly whisk in the rice flour, stirring continuously to avoid lumps, until the mixture thickens (about 5-7 minutes).
- 3
Remove from heat and spread the mixture onto a flat surface to cool. Once it cools, cut it into thin noodles.
- 4
In another pot, combine the remaining 2 cups of water with the sugar and bring to a boil. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- 5
Remove from heat and add rose water and lime juice to the syrup. Allow it to cool.
- 6
To serve, place the faloodeh noodles in a bowl, add crushed ice, and pour the cooled syrup over it.
- 7
Garnish with finely chopped pistachios before serving.
