IngredientsWhat you need
- 500 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 cup warm water
- 10 grams active dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 50 ml olive oil
- 400 grams ground beef
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 tomato finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon parsley
- salt and pepper to taste salt and pepper
Method
- 1
In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until frothy.
- 2
In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
- 3
Knead the dough until it's smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes. Cover and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- 4
In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion until translucent, then add the ground beef, cooking until browned. Stir in the tomato, parsley, salt, and pepper. Let cool.
- 5
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut into circles.
- 6
Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each circle. Fold the edges to form a triangle or a closed shape.
- 7
Arrange the esfihas on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- 8
Serve warm and enjoy your delicious esfihas!
