Indulge in the rich flavors of French cuisine with these classic escargots, bathed in garlic herb butter and served in charming shells. Perfect for a special occasion or an elegant dinner party that will impress your guests.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 24 pieces escargots (snails)
- 100 grams unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 12 pieces escargot shells
Method
- 1
Preheat your oven to 190°C (375°F).
- 2
In a mixing bowl, combine softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, sea salt, black pepper, and lemon juice, mixing until well blended.
- 3
Place each escargot in its shell (if using) or simply on a baking dish. Fill each escargot shell with the garlic butter mixture.
- 4
If you are using a baking dish, arrange the escargots in a single layer, and spoon additional garlic butter over the top.
- 5
Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, until the butter is bubbling and the escargots are heated through.
- 6
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Serve with crusty bread to soak up the delicious garlic butter.
