Ingredients

  • 800 g pork belly
  • 1 cup Shaoxing wine
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 slices ginger
  • 3 pieces scallions

Method

    Blanch the pork belly in boiling water for about 5 minutes to remove impurities, then rinse under cold water.

    In a pot, heat the Shaoxing wine and soy sauce together until simmering.

    Add the pork belly to the pot, then pour in enough water to cover it completely.

    Add ginger slices and scallions to the pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a low heat.
