Savor the exotic flavors of the Australian outback with these tender crocodile skewers, marinated in zesty lemon and aromatic spices. Ideal for a unique weeknight dinner or a fun barbecue gathering with friends.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 500 grams crocodile meat, cut into cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 lemon juiced
- 8 skewers wooden or metal skewers
Method
- 1
In a bowl, combine the crocodile meat with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to coat the meat evenly.
- 2
Cover the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- 3
Preheat your grill or barbecue to medium-high heat.
- 4
Thread the marinated crocodile meat onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
- 5
Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 3-4 minutes per side, or until the meat is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- 6
Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
- 7
Serve the crocodile skewers hot, with lemon wedges on the side for extra zest.
