Ingredients

  • 2 cups broken rice
  • 400 grams pork chop
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 4 pieces fried eggs
  • 1 cup pickled vegetables
  • 1 cup cucumber slices
  • 1 tablespoon green onions

Method

  1. 1

Rinse the broken rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.

  2. 2

Cook the broken rice in a rice cooker or pot according to package instructions. Set aside once done.

  4. 4

Grill or pan-fry the marinated pork chops over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until cooked through.

  5. 5

While the pork is cooking, fry the eggs to your liking and prepare the pickled vegetables and cucumber slices.

  6. 6

To serve, place a scoop of cooked broken rice on each plate. Top with grilled pork, a fried egg, pickled vegetables, and cucumber slices.

  7. 7

The tender pork chop is beautifully caramelized, its smoky depth perfectly complemented by the umami richness of fish sauce. Each spoonful of broken rice captures the essence of these bold flavors, creating a satisfying and aromatic experience.
