- 2 liters water
- 2 medium carrots
- 1 medium celery root
- 1 medium onion
- 200 ml sour cream
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 bunch fresh parsley

In a large pot, bring 2 liters of water to a boil. Add the whole chicken and bring to a simmer.

Skim off any foam that forms on the surface, then add the onion, carrots, and celery root to the pot.

Cover the pot and let it simmer for about 1 hour or until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.

Once cooked, remove the chicken from the pot and let it cool. Strain the broth to remove the vegetables and return the clear broth to the pot.

Shred the chicken into bite-sized pieces and add it back to the broth. Adjust the seasoning with salt and add vinegar to taste.

Let the soup simmer for an additional 10 minutes to meld the flavors together.
