Savor the crispy, golden Chiko Roll, a delightful Australian street food filled with seasoned minced beef, crunchy cabbage, and sweet carrots. Perfect for a casual weeknight dinner or a fun snack with friends.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 1 cup shredded cabbage
- 1 cup grated carrot
- 250 grams minced beef
- 1 cup samosa wrapper sheets
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
Method
- 1
In a large bowl, mix together the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, minced beef, soy sauce, salt, and pepper until well combined.
- 2
Lay out a samosa wrapper sheet on a flat surface and spoon a portion of the filling mixture onto the center.
- 3
Fold the sides of the wrapper over the filling and roll it tightly to form a cylindrical shape. Seal the edges with a little water.
- 4
Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the rolled Chiko Rolls to the pan.
- 5
Fry the rolls for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- 6
Remove the Chiko Rolls from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 7
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
