Ingredients

  • 500 grams ground lamb or beef
  • 1 medium onion, grated
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground saffron
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cups basmati rice
  • 1 stick butter

    In a large bowl, mix the ground meat, grated onion, salt, black pepper, and ground saffron until well combined.

    Shape the meat mixture into kebab skewers, about 2 inches thick.
