Ingredients

  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 1 cup purple barley
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method

    In a large pot, combine the purple barley and water. Bring to a boil.

    Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 25 minutes or until the barley is tender.

    Stir in the corn kernels, pineapple chunks, sugar, cinnamon, and coconut milk into the pot with barley.

    Continue to cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until everything is well combined and heated through.

    Remove from heat and let the Champú rest for a few minutes before serving.

    Serve warm, optionally drizzled with vanilla extract for added flavor.
