- 2 tablespoons black tea leaves
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 inch fresh ginger
- 2 cardamom pods crushed
- 1 cinnamon stick optional

In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium heat.

Add the black tea leaves, sliced ginger, crushed cardamom, and cinnamon stick if using. Allow to simmer for 10 minutes.
