Warm up with a hearty bowl of Bramboračka, a traditional Czech potato and mushroom soup infused with garlic and thyme. Ideal for cozy weeknight dinners, this comforting dish brings a taste of home to your table.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams potatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 200 grams mushrooms
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • to taste salt and pepper

Method

    Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat.

    Add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.

    Stir in the minced garlic and sliced mushrooms, cooking for an additional 3-4 minutes until the mushrooms soften.

    Add the diced potatoes and pour in the vegetable broth. Bring to a boil.

    Reduce heat and simmer for about 15-20 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
