Experience the vibrant flavors of South Africa with this hearty braai, featuring succulent beef ribeye, tender lamb chops, and spicy boerewors, all grilled to perfection. Ideal for a weekend gathering or festive celebration.
IngredientsWhat you need
- 1 kg beef ribeye steak
- 1 kg lamb chops
- 4 pieces boerewors
- 4 pieces corn on the cob
- 1 cup braai spice rub
- 1 bunch fresh rosemary
- 1 bottle chutney
- 4 pieces pita bread
Method
- 1
Start by preparing the meat. Rub the beef ribeye, lamb chops, and boerewors with the braai spice rub. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Prepare your grill or braai. Ensure it is hot with good coals for cooking.
- 3
Place the marinated beef ribeye on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side for medium-rare, adjusting to your preference.
- 4
Add the lamb chops and boerewors to the grill once the ribeye is halfway done. Cook the lamb for about 4-6 minutes on each side and grill the boerewors until nicely charred.
- 5
While the meats are grilling, prepare the corn on the cob. Wrap them in foil and place them on the grill for about 20 minutes, turning occasionally.
- 6
Once everything is cooked to your liking, remove the meats and corn from the grill. Let them rest for a few minutes.
- 7
Serve the grilled meats with chutney, fresh rosemary, and optionally pita bread and grilled corn on the side.
